Church of England Diocese of Bristol Saint Nicholas, Whitchurch

About Us

St Nicholas Church, a Grade 2 Listed building, is Norman in style and almost 900 years old. It was built on the site of an earlier chapel dedicated to St Whyte whose name is now perpetuated for all time by the village of Whitchurch which took its name from her. It currently offers a warm welcome and traditional Church of England services led by a choir. However on the 3rd Sunday we have what is called a J3/16 service for All Ages named after John’s Gospel Chapter 3 verse 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life”
