Hello and welcome to the information for Abson church. We are a small community who work hard to maintain our lovely ancient building and where visitors receive a warm welcome to our worship and the many other activities held throughout the year.

St Thomas a Becket
St Thomas a Becket, Pucklechurch welcomes you to our historic parish church. There has been a worshipping community in our village for over 700 years.
We are an anglican church, part of the Church of England and currently offer regular Sunday worship at 10 am: Holy Communion and Morning Prayer, depending on the week. Cafe church happens on the third Sunday of the month and is there for families of all ages, stages and sizes! There is now a regular Tuesday morning Morning Prayer service at 9.00 am. Everyone is welcome; local people, regulars and visitors.
We also offer baptisms, weddings and funerals, so do feel free to contact us.
We have close relationships with our C of E church school. They visit us and we visit them regularly!
The church building also hosts one of the two village playgroups, Tower Pre-School.
There are regular social and fundraising events at times of major Christian festivals and we support a range of charities, including our local foodbank at Mangotsfield.
