Lent Course - Healing and Hope in the One Household of God

Occuring
Every Tuesday at for 2 hours
Venue
Wick Tabernacle URC Church
Address
Wick Tabernacle URC Church, 86 High St, Wick, Bristol, BS30 5QH, United Kingdom

This Lent Course takes place on a Tuesday evening in our neighbouring village of Wick. in conjunction with and at the URC Tabernacle chapel. The parish church in Wick has traditionally shared the lent course with the URC church. Pucklechurch and Abson are joining with its neighbouring churches as part of the new benefice. Turn up at 7.00 pm, listen to a short talk and then enjoy discussion and refreshments and meet Christians in other villages. We finish at approx 9.00 pm.

The course is produced by "Embrace the Middle Easter." The opening paragraph in the course states, " From the manger, Jesus comes to proclaim in a simple but very powerful way, a need for walking with those on the margins and those who find themselves facing injustices.."

Join us to consider the history of God's people in the bible and how issues then can also inform issues we face today.

St Thomas a Becket

St Thomas a Becket, Pucklechurch welcomes you to our historic parish church. There has been a worshipping community in our village for over 700 years.

We are an anglican church, part of the Church of England and currently offer regular Sunday worship at 10 am: Holy Communion and Morning Prayer, depending on the week.  There is now a regular Tuesday morning Morning Prayer service at 9.00 am. Everyone is welcome; local people, regulars and visitors.

We also offer baptisms, weddings and funerals, so do feel free to contact us.

We have close relationships with our C of E church school. They visit us and we visit them regularly!

The church building also hosts one of the two village playgroups, Tower Pre-School.

There are regular social and fundraising events at times of major Christian festivals and we support a range of charities, including our local foodbank at Mangotsfield.
