The Bridge Group Parish is a group of 5 churches situated to the South East of Canterbury. The Parish benefits from strong links with the local community and a great relationship with Bridge and Patrixbourne C.E.P which is the local primary school in the center of Bridge. Each of our 5 churches hold various events throughout the year to raise funds and to maintain the connection to the community.
St Peter's Bekesbourne sits on a hill in the centre of the village and is approached through private land on public footpaths and a graveled track. It is sometimes known as the Church in the Garden and benefits from a wonderful peel of church bells as the Bekesbourne Band of Bell ringers meet weekly to practice and ring at events throughout the year. Regretfully, access to the church may be difficult for the disabled.

St Peter's, Bridge can trace its routes back to 1189 when it was merely a chapel. Over the centuries much development has taken place which has resulted in the beautiful church it is now. St Peter's is at the center of The Bridge Group Parish and plays an important role in supporting many events within the community. It has fantastic links with the local primary school and holds school services termly.

St Mary's, Patrixbourne is a beautiful church situated in to the south of Canterbury. St Mary's is the 'pilgrimage hub' of The Bridge Group Parish and sits on four pilgrimage routes accross the south east of the united kingdom. The North Downs Way, Via Francigena, The Old Way and The Royal Saxon Way all run through the village of Patrixbourne. Over the years various groups of Pilgrims have been to St Mary’s, some even staying overnight in pre-arranged groups before continuing their journeys to Canterbury.

When the original St Mary's church fell in to disrepair in 1830 a new church was built thanks to £2000 left by a prishoner in his will. The beautiful church still contains the original font from 1217 made from Bethersden Marble, one of only two of its kind in Kent.

The ancient hamlet of Nackington, first mentioned in the Domesday book as "Natyndune", lies just south of Canterbury in a rural setting off the B2068. It's church, dedicated to St Mary the Virgin, is one of Kent's hidden gems and was given to the Priory of St Gregory in Canterbury by Archbishop Lanfranc in about 1076. Built of flint, brick and stone, it stands on a slight rise amongst ancient tombstones with a traditional Norman tower topped by a wooden spire in which hangs a single bell.
