A Common Worship Eucharist service for the congregation of St Mary of Charity.

For anyone feeling overwhelmed by the mayhem that the world seems to be sinking into, and a feeling of helplessness, the Benefice of Faversham will be having informal, quiet prayer times at their four churches each week. These are not led, but there will be members of the ministry team present.

St Mary of Charity, Faversham: Tuesdays, 10.30am for 30 minutes; and
St Peter and St Paul, Ospringe: Wednesdays, 10.15am for 30 minutes.

A traditional evensong service led by the choir of St Mary of Charity. Between May and October Evensong will be at 6pm rather than 5pm.

The Choral Evensong on Sunday, 6 September will include a 'thank you' to the church's architect of 20 years, Nick Lee Evans, who is retiring. You are very welcome to join us as we celebrate the work of Nick and his colleague, John Minter.

Please note that there is no Choral Evensong on Sunday, 1 November 2026, as there is an All Souls Service at 3pm.

A praise service for the congregation of St Mary of Charity, featuring the choir but with less formal music than the second and fourth weeks. There will be more involvement from the families in this service.

Morning Praise on Sunday, 20 September will be a Harvest Festival service.

An annual service where we remember those we have lost in the past year (and before). Gift tags will be available for those attending to write the name (and a message) to a loved one to hang on the Christmas tree when it is put up in the church (usually just before the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, on the fourth Sunday of Advent). Tags can be kept to be hung by those writing or can be left at the church to be hung by someone from the church once the tree is up.

A service of Advent carols and music heralding a time of contemplation before we commemorate the birth of Our Lord. The choir of St Mary of Charity is joined by various local choirs, including the choir of St Michael's, Sittingbourne.

A traditional choir-led service with readings from the Old and New Testament tracing the story of Christ's birth, from prophesy to the visit of the wise men. Held in the candle-lit church with the choir and organ. A selection of traditional carols and songs for the congregation to sing, along with beautiful choral pieces to reflect to.

Bring your child (or inner child) to the church to celebrate the nativity story with carols, songs, appropriate costumes, and our nativity stable... A great way to round off Christmas Eve before small feet climb the wooden hill to bedfordshire!
