All four Benefice churches will host part of the day.
‘Walk the Walk’ isn’t just for those who come to church. Anyone is welcome to join in at any point.
We only ask that you let us know in advance if you would like lunch and/or supper (see below).
All drinks and food will be provided: donations to offset the costs will be invited on the day.

The Programme
Starting at Chislet at 9am with refreshments followed by a ‘light-touch’ Communion service.
After a 3.8 mile walk to St. Nicholas, lunch at approx. 12.30 (lunch needs to be booked, please).
Then to Monkton for 2.30pm Worship.
Finally, the last leg of approx. 3 miles to Minster for Closing Worship in the church at approx. 4.30pm followed by soup and crusty bread in the Old School Hall (which needs to be booked, please)

Join us for six Thursday evenings starting in June for a meal at 6.30pm followed by a short video and discussion. Aimed at anyone that wants to see what Christianity is all about. We will be using a national Bible Society course as the basis for our videos and discussion group. This will be an informal gathering each week, with the chance to ask questions to find out the relevance of Bible based Christianity today, in a relaxed and friendly environment!

A joyous celebration of Holy Communion with hymns and refreshments afterwards.

We are raising funds for The Village Hall (Charity No 1059659) and St Mary Magdalene Church. There will be lots to see:
10+ Gardens plus the Church will be open for displays and light refreshments.
Songs of Praise on Sunday at 6pm.
Gardens will have; Craft & Bric a Brac, Compost Display with a wormery and information.
Refreshments, Lunches and Teas in Village Hall plus stalls and raffle,
Reduced entry price at Monkton Nature Reserve with a valid Garden map

Monkton Open Gardens has been running bi-annually since 1992. This will be the 17th time the residents of Monkton have opened their gardens to the public.
PLEASE park thoughtfully through-out our village. Limited disabled parking available in the school car park (a valid disabled blue badge MUST be displayed)
