Morning Service (with The Lord's Supper)

Occuring
Every First Sunday at for 1 hour, 15 mins
Venue
St James' Church, Westgate and Garlinge
Address
Canterbury Road Westbrook, Margate Margate, CT9 5JU, United Kingdom

The morning service is our main weekly gathering when the majority of people who attend St James' will meet. There is a full youth and children's programme laid on each week, ranging from a creche through to teens. This service also includes the Lord's Supper.

We sing a blend of contemporary and traditional hymns and songs and prayers are said. At the heart of the service is time to read from God's word, the Bible, and listen to a sermon. There is always an opportunity to stay behind afterwards to chat over a cup of tea or coffee.

The parish of Westgate-on-Sea: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
