A member of St Philip's remembers how they stood firm...
On a Thursday evening back in December 2025 I had managed to eat my dinner with no problems. But a couple of hours later, when I opened my jaw there was a pain on the left side, preventing me from opening my mouth fully.
This pain continued into the night and kept me awake a bit.
I prayed, “Thank You Daddy that I am healthy, healed, and whole, in Jesus’ Name”. As I did this I could sense Daddy smiling, like, “Don’t worry, it will be OK”.
The next morning when flossing my teeth, each time I pulled the floss between my teeth and away from my gum there was a sharp pain, for both sides of my mouth.
I quietened my own thoughts of what I would say to a doctor about it, and continued to thank Dad for my healing and health.
That evening I struggled to eat my dinner. Each time I tried to eat from my fork, it was painful to open my mouth, so that I could only open it slightly, not enough to eat all of the food, so knocking some of it back onto my plate.
I continued to thank Dad.
A couple of hours later I somehow sensed that I had been healed.
I resisted the temptation to test my jaw by trying to open it fully, but just kept thanking Dad.
That night I brushed my teeth with no problems, and the following morning I flossed my teeth with no pain.
And that evening I ate my dinner as normal.
Thank You Jesus.
