Daily Scripture

1 Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvellous things.  10 In righteousness shall he judge the world and the peoples with equity.  (Psalm 98:1&10)

Daily Reflection

The Psalmist sings praises to God. He wants the whole world to burst into song; to get out instruments and make joyous music to praise God because of all the wonderful things God has done. Just look around at creation; the beauty of it surely can’t be an accident! The Psalmist also praises God because he treats all people fairly and equally. He also loves all his creation, all people, equally. Thank God that he does; and that he has shown us the way to be saved. Let’s sing our songs of praise to God for that today.

Lord God, just and true, you make your salvation known in the sight of the nations; tune the song of our hearts to the music of creation as you come among us to judge the earth; through our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
