Daily Scripture:

‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have those who live by it; his praise endures for ever.’ (Psalm 111:10)

Daily Reflection:

There is a big difference between knowledge and wisdom; between knowing information and understanding how to use it. We can know that a tomato is actually a fruit; but wisdom is understanding that you don’t put it in a fruit-salad! We do not become wise by life-experience and academic knowledge alone though. The psalmist says that fear of the Lord – revering God; being in awe of God – is the beginning of wisdom. Knowing God as the source of wisdom will give us strong foundations on which to make our decisions in life.

But….there is a world of difference between thinking, “I know God exists”, and having the wisdom to live your life knowing – and understanding - that God is your creator, your Saviour, and He loves you.
