Daily Scripture:The Lord is my shepherd;therefore can I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pasturesand leads me beside still waters. He shall refresh my souland guide me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (Psalm 23 1-3)Daily Reflection:“Forest Bathing” is a new way of describing “going for a walk in the woods”! - with one small difference and that is to do so mindfully - to take in the sights & sounds, the smells & textures in the present moment - to take time to stop, breathe and relax. The sound of water has also been proven to calm the mind and refresh our soul. Our blood pressure falls, our breathing slows and our mind clears, leaving us with a sense of calm. It is in these moments, when we are surrounded by nature that we feel connected to the great majesty of God’s creation. Taking the time to study the smallest of flowers to the tallest of trees, and doing so mindfully & prayerfully, is when we get to understand just how much God loves us.Lyn Hayes ALM

Daily Scripture‘God gives a hand to those down on their luck, gives a fresh start to those ready to quit.’ (The Message) Psalm 145 v 14Daily ReflectionMany times, life has become hard, and I’ve been ready to give up. Stop trying, spend the day in bed, hope it will all go away…but I’ve learnt that “giving up” never changes my situation. It’s not that I need to try harder, work harder, be a better person – I could never do that on my own. I just need to tell God about it. Then I need to believe that only He can change things for me. God can change your perspective, God can change your thinking, God can turn a difficult situation into a much better one. God’s love, grace and mercy is new every morning, he is the Master of “fresh starts” and the first to reach out His hand to help you up.Vicki Young
