Join us for a joyful, family-friendly celebration to give thanks for the wonderful animal companions who bring so much love, comfort and joy to our lives.
Whether they are furry, feathered, scaly, or large and small - all well-behaved pets are welcome to join us for a special individual blessing. If your pet is a donkey, horse or of similar large size, please meet outside the church by 10am for a blessing before the start of the service.
An individual blessing for each pet attending. There will be time to remember and to thank God for pets we have loved and lost. If your pet is too shy, or nervous, or recently passed away, you are warmly invited to bring a photograph of your pet or a soft toy instead.
Please ensure all pets are safely on a leash, in a carrier, in a bowl, or well-controlled, and remember to bring clean up supplies just in case.
All are welcome - with or without a pet. We look forward to celebrating God's creation with you.

Our Benefice

Safeguarding

The churches of the Benefice of the Saxon Shoreline is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. Our large benefice comprises of the churches in the villages of Aldington, Bilsington, Bonnington, Hamstreet, Kenardington, Orlestone, Snave, Ruckinge and Warehorne.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies, and we have our own Benefice Safeguarding Officer (BSO), Mrs Pauline Williams, who can be contacted on 07907 676829 for Safeguarding enquiries and assistance. A confidential email address for disclosures and concerns is set up for those purposes only, at [email protected]. This is not an address for general enquiries.
