Church of England Diocese of Canterbury Newington

About Us

St Mary the Virgin, Newington is one of the six churches which together make up 'The Six' benefice, a group of Anglican parishes in North Kent. The ancient church building is located on the northern edge of the village. All our Sunday Services take place at 10.00am, and follow the pattern below:

1st Sunday: Morning Worship

2nd Sunday: Communion (Sung/Traditional)

3rd Sunday: 'Stepping Stones' (informal cafe-style service for all ages)

4th Sunday: Communion

Every third Thursday morning from 9.00am we have The Cornerstone Cafe, which takes place in the church. This is a popular informal meeting place, as an opportunity to meet friends and make new ones whilst enjoying home-made refreshments. The local Community Warden is usually on hand to provide advice on any issues of concern.

We welcome you to join in our worship and to become a part of our worshipping community. To find out more about us, please click on the following link: www.thesix.org.uk
