Church of England Diocese of Canterbury Frittenden

St Mary's Frittenden

We are delighted that our services are now being held back in the churches in our benefice. We are following social distancing guidelines, wearing masks unless exempt and, for the moment, are not allowed to sing. However if you would like to join us you will receive a very warm welcome.

Our service pattern has changed and we will alternate morning services at 10am between St Mary's Frittenden and Trinity Church Sissinghurst. On the Sundays when there is a morning service in one church there will be an evening service in the other church at 6pm. On the fifth Sunday we will have a United Benefice Service at 10am.

If you are unable to join us in person you can listen to a recording of the morning service which is placed on the website every week. The address is and if you click on the Audio tab you can listen to the latest service or read a midweek meditation.

If you know of someone who doesn't have access to the internet and who would like to listen to the services we have a dedicated local telephone number that you can call up and listen to the latest service. This number is 01580 234185.

On the website you will also find details of our other events.

The parish of Frittenden: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
