About Us

The Parish church dates back to 1079 and is open to visitors during daylight hours (from c 9.30) every day. Every century has made its contribution. It is a lively village church with members originally from many denominations. Strong musical tradition, with a 1913, two-manual and pedal organ by J. J. Binns. Active choir. Hosts the annual Morland Choristers' Camp, dating back to 1971.

We are part of the North Westmorland Benefice, which includes the parishes of Askham and Lowther, Bampton, Bolton, Cliburn, Clifton & Brougham, Morland and Thrimby, Crosby Ravensworth, Great Strickland and Shap. The two closed churches of St Wilfrid and St Ninian, both in the parish of Clifton and Brougham, but now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, are within our boundaries and we hold occasional services there.
