St James

St James’s Church, which is set in the centre of the civil burial ground for the rural Parish of Hutton-in-the-Forest, is situated next to Parkland ¼ mile North of Hutton-in-the-Forest. In essence it is a traditional Anglican church which extends its welcome both to local people and visitors to the area and is available for baptisms, weddings and funerals. A key can be got from Hutton in the Forest when the House is open (see www.hutton-in-the-forest.co.uk).

The parish of Hutton-in-the-Forest: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
