The Parish of St John, Beckermet has adopted the Carlisle Diocesan Safeguarding Policy which follows the national Church of England Policy and the PCC and APCM receive regular reports on safeguarding from our Parish Safeguarding Advisor.

Urgent concerns about vulnerable adults should be referred to your local District Adult Social Care Office, 0300 303 2704 or, out of normal office hours, the Emergency Duty team 01228 526690, or the Police.

The gathered congregation at St John's extend a warm welcome to visitors to the church.  The church is open on a daily basis so visitors can come into church and find a quiet space for prayer and reflection; or come to look around the beautiful building set on a site which has had a church presence since 1262.
