St Helen

We take safeguarding seriously

The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in church activities is the responsibility of all of us.

The parish of Tarporley: St Helen is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies (https://www.churchofengland.org/sites/default/files/2019-10/ParishSafeGuardingHandBookAugust2019Web.pdf) and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Liz Neely. Our safeguarding policies and details of where to get help are displayed in each church and on the parish website.

The Diocese of Chester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs - https://www.chester.anglican.org/support-services/safeguarding/

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

If you have any concerns that you or someone else are at risk from harm, please speak to the Parish Safeguarding Officer, Liz Neely on 07890470899, or contact a member of the clergy. If there is immediate danger call 999

There will be free coffee, tea, pastries and other refreshments available throughout the morning - come along anytime from 9.30am!

There will be time for music, chat, prayer and making new friends. It's an ideal space for children and adults to learn and grow together.

June's theme is Caring for creation: what is our role as Christians in caring for God's world?

Come along to explore more!
