Summer in the Psalms begins on 26 July and runs through to the end of August. Each week, a different preacher has chosen one of their favourite psalms to explore. Together we’ll hear songs of praise, prayers of honesty, words of comfort, and fresh reminders of God’s faithfulness for every season of life.

Join us for our regular gardening party at St Hilary’s.

We meet on the first Saturday of each month from February to November, spending the morning caring for the church grounds. Tea, coffee, and bacon butties are provided as a thank you.

We’re delighted to welcome Revd Jill Elston, the Diocese of Chester’s Environment Adviser, to St Hilary’s on Sunday 6 September as our guest preacher for Creationtide.

Jill has encouraged and supported churches across the diocese in their Eco Church journey, and we’re looking forward to hearing her speak as we celebrate God’s creation and continue our own commitment to caring for it.

From Sunday 13 September, we’ll begin a new eleven-week journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Together we’ll explore what it means to be a church shaped by Jesus: a welcoming church, a courageous church, a humble church, and much more.

Each week we’ll discover a simple truth beginning with the words “Because of Jesus...”, helping us see how the good news transforms not just our individual lives, but our life together as a church.

A meditative service of sung Evening Prayer, rooted in the Book of Common Prayer (1662). Our choir draws singers from across the Wirral. All are welcome.

Usually on the second Sunday of the month at 6.30pm.

Over the past year we’ve seen our services grow in worship, prayer, expectancy and welcome. As we continue to seek God’s leading, we’d love as many people as possible to join us for Naturally Supernatural, six-sessions exploring what it means to live a Spirit-filled life.

Beginning on Tuesday 15 September, we’ll explore: Hearing the Voice of God, Healing the Sick, and a Biblical Theology of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you’re completely new to these areas or have been walking with the Holy Spirit for many years, our hope is that this won’t simply be a course, but another step in becoming the kind of church God is calling us to be. Everyone is welcome!

This autumn we’re beginning a new monthly Evening Worship gathering. Together we’ll make space to sing and pray, listen and wait on the Holy Spirit. There’ll be extended worship, times of silence, prayer ministry, and an opportunity to encounter God’s presence.

Come expectant. Come as you are. Come and make room for God to speak.
