Sermon Series: Following Jesus Together (Philippians)

Occurring
for 77 days, 2 hours
Venue
St Hilary's Wallasey
Address
Claremount Road Wallasey, CH45 3NH, United Kingdom

From Sunday 13 September, we’ll begin a new eleven-week journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Together we’ll explore what it means to be a church shaped by Jesus: a welcoming church, a courageous church, a humble church, and much more.

Each week we’ll discover a simple truth beginning with the words “Because of Jesus...”, helping us see how the good news transforms not just our individual lives, but our life together as a church.

Whether you’re new to St Hilary’s or have been following Jesus for many years, we’d love you to join us as we ask together: What kind of church is God calling us to become?

St Hilary's Wallasey

Whether you’re visiting or seeking Christian community, you are welcome here!

St Hilary’s and its nearby medieval tower are Grade II listed, marking a site of Christian worship dating back to Roman times. The current church, consecrated in 1859, is believed to be the sixth on this spot.

From Norman stonework to Tudor rebuilds and Victorian renewal, St Hilary’s has stood at the heart of Wallasey’s story for over a thousand years. Today, it remains a living church — rooted in tradition, alive with faith, love, and open to all.
