About Us
Your local Church of England congregation in the heart of the community next door to our church school. Everyone is welcome as we journey together whether you have any faith or none. You will find acceptance and fellowship and an opportunity to learn serve together as we seek to follow Jesus.
Our ministry is open evangelical with a fairly traditional form of worship (typically, but it varies). We use Common Worship liturgy and generally the NRSV for Bible readings. Music is a mixture of contemporary songs and traditional hymns led on the pipe organ or the keyboard. We use both a hymn book or the video screen. We emphasise preaching of the Word. Talks are typically 15 to 20 minutes long, and emphasise saving grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Currently we are in a vacancy but a new priest in charge has been appointed. Licensing date to be announced. Services are led by Rev'd Canon Gordon McGuinness, Parish Support Minister (previously Rector of St Thomas's, Ellesmere Port) and Dr Rob Brook, our Licensed Lay Minister (aka Lay Reader). Our Sunday services start at 10 am. We are noted for being a welcoming and friendly fellowship and we would love to have you join us one Sunday. Tea and coffee are served after the morning service.
Every second Monday each month we hold a Soup and Pudding lunch, starting at 12 noon. Typically 50 or 60 people attend, so it's a great way to get to know people. Cost £5 per person.
We have a Facebook page (search for All Saints Church, Great Saughall) where you can see photos of our many other activities.
We also have a website (https://allsaintschurchsaughall.org.uk) where details of services are posted.
