For people who have been advised to keep away from others for the time being, this service has been set up with whatever precautions are possible. Hulme Walfield is the largest church in the Rural Daneside Group, so the greatest social distance is possible. People who are not in this group are kindly requested to worship elsewhere. Morning Worship/Prayer Event held in a Church

The Invitation - a series of eight reflections

Every Sunday at 10 a.m. for 30m


There will be a short, pre-recorded reflection each Sunday morning that you will be able to watch from 10am. You can watch it then, or leave it till later in the day or another day.

There is no Zoom chat scheduled, as the usual host will be in church.

Evening Prayer to read at home

Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 5 p.m. for 30m


Every evening at 5pm, from Monday to Saturday, you are welcome to share prayers and bible readings for the day, along with lighting a candle, should you wish.

If you have a smart phone, you can receive the daily service by downloading the Rural Daneside app. Go to your app store and search for "School Jotter", which you can then download. Once that is done, search for Rural Daneside Churches and then choose the churches within the group that you'd like to hear from.

If you don't have a smart phone, you can follow most of the service from the Church of England website - see 'more about this event' below. The locally-chosen prayers will only appear on the app.

A regular Thursday morning service of Holy Communion to be streamed live on Zoom. You can see and/or hear it either using your mobile phone or computer, or by using a land line.
Please join us from 9.45 in time for a 10am start. This gives time for a quick chat and to sort technical difficulties.
