Accessibility

There are toilets on both floors of the building including an accessible toilet downstairs.

The accessible toilet is fully equipped for baby changing needs!

The ground floor as an accessible toilet

Access from the car park into the church is level.

The original main door has permanent ramp access

The ground floor has a loop encompassing it in its entirety.

Large print copies of services are regularly provided.

They are welcome!

A BSL signing service is available on Sunday mornings. At present llimited to the hymns and included in Zoom services


Our Building

The original St John's church contained two fine stained glass windows by Treena Cox dating from the mid 1930's and transferred to the 1960's church and subsequently into the current building.

As part of the Warm Spaces initiative we are regitered with Cheshire East to be opne on the seconed and fourth Saturday afternoons between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m. We also hold a stock of warm winter clothing accessories, such as hats, gloves and socks etc.

Meets in St John's School on Ivy Road

The first Friday afternoon of the month sees us open for CAMEO - tea/coffees and refreshments and socialising!

Community event

We are a registered Warm Place with Cheshire East Coumcil and the building will be open specifically for this purpose on the 2nd and 4th Satirdays betweem 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. We also hold a stock of winter warminmg clothes such as hats, gloves, socks along with new duvets to help thos in need keep warm this winter.

Meets in St John's School on Ivy Road and the senior section meets in church rooms.

Messy church is held every couple of months on a Saturday afternoon in the church culminating in a simple meal for children.

Sunbeams - meets every Wednesday morning from 10.00 a.m. for an hour and half for children up to school age and their parents/grandparents/carers.

Join us for our Pilgrim Course staring on Tuesday 3rd October and alternating between the two parishes in the Benefice.

We were an early registerer for use of Fairtrade products and continue to do so

We are equipped for the twenty-first century both for internal projection and sound and for streaming live and via Zoom

We have a variety of rooms across the building which can be hired. As part of Cheshire East Connected Communities free use of the rooms is available for local start up groups.
