Starting at the church at 11:15am, there will be a community walk around the village, stopping at a number of places for prayers of thanksgiving. Today we celebrate the first fruits of the harvest. Communion will be taken with a freshly-baked loaf of bread which represents the first of the gathered-in grains. It is combined with the Rose Queen and Oak King ceremonially returning the Oak Sword and Oak Sceptre to church as their final official act, although they will visit a few other fetes before the Marton Wakes.
After the service, we will serve a soup and sandwich lunch.

A major part of life at All Saints is Redesmere Fete, which attracts hundreds of people.
One of the best known and picturesque village events in the region, the fete features the crowning of the Water Lily Queen, so called because she is rowed across Redesmere Lake which was at one time covered by water lilies.
The Queen is then crowned by the King of Redesmere on the lake shore before the start of a traditional family-oriented fete at the Village Hall with attractions for all the family. The festivities continue into the evening.
