If you were asked what is the Bible about what would you say? Would you talk about Jesus, and the good news of what He did and the difference that he can make in our lives? What if someone asked you about the Old Testament, what would you say then? The Bible has two parts, the Old and the New Testaments, and we need both of them to understand our world, what God is like, who we are, and who Jesus is. Everything in the New Testament relies on the Old Testament, so we are going to investigate it further. From Sunday 26th June until December we will be doing a journey through the Old Testament, picking up both different themes and different Characters and looking at how it all fits together. By then we’ll be ready for Christmas, and Jesus’ arrival, fulfilling God’s Old Testament promises. As well as Sunday sermons (many of which will be on the website), there are some information sheets available to help us understand things a bit better. Scripture union also produced a Bible reading plan called “Essential 100” which is a journey through the Bible in 100 readings. Printed tick lists of this are available, but you can still buy the book on ebay/Amazon etchttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Essential-100-Whitney-T-Kuniholm/dp/1844275663 or do itonline https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/25-the-essential-100 or the “YouVersion” App . House groups will also be using some of this material.I encourage you to join in, and work through it at your own pace, and discover both Old things and New!Every Blessing,BruceClick for the Tick List
