A great tradition of music has built up over many years at St Mary’s and there are now nearly 40 singers in the church choir. We have recently been delighted to admit 8 junior choristers from SING!@St Mary’s.

The choir helps to lead worship at the 10.45am and 6.00pm services as well as taking part in several services of celebration throughout the year for the major Christian festivals. We also sing choral evensong on the 4th Sunday of each month at 6.00pm.

We are supported by Simon Russell, our splendid organist as well as Jonathan Layfield our deputy organist.

Step into a celebration of spectacular classical music as Egerton Strings presents The Four Seasons & Classical Masterpieces, an evening of incredible works performed by string quartet.

Set in the serene surroundings of St Mary's Church, Nantwich, this concert brings together some of the most beloved pieces in the classical repertoire — from the vivid storytelling of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to the elegance of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Pachelbel’s timeless Canon in D, and the festive warmth of Corelli’s Christmas Concerto.

From the icy drama of Winter or the joyful bloom of Spring, the music unfolds with clarity and emotion through the rich textures of strings. This performance is perfect for seasoned classical fans and newcomers alike — a chance to experience iconic works in an intimate, candlelit setting that enhances every note.

Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open 45 minutes before the performance. Suitable for ages 8 and up. Wheelchair access available. Concert runs from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, with a short interval.

Mums and Tots’ is a busy, friendly and fun preschool playgroup that meets on Tuesday mornings during term time, upstairs in the Parish Hall.
There are lots of toys to encourage active learning and play, and each week there is also a craft activity. The sessions finish with singing and the children are encouraged to join in with the actions!
Each session costs £1.00 per family. At times it becomes necessary to run a waiting list so please contact us for further information regarding this. We look forward to welcoming you!

Led by Director of Music, Alison Phillips, Sing @ St Mary’s is an opportunity for children of Primary School age to learn to sing in a small junior choir.
They practice every week on Tuesdays at 4:00pm in the Parish Hall. Parents and carers are welcome.

A thoughtful service using the Book of Common Prayer. A reflective, peaceful time, followed by tea/coffee and biscuits. You are very welcome to come along.

Little Fish is a fun and friendly group for preschool babies and children. The group meets weekly during term time on Thursdays from 10-11:30am in St. Nicholas Chapel in church (follow the sounds of the children!). The sessions are free of charge and are open to all.

Each session is planned around a theme and includes songs, a story time and craft activity. Refreshments are enjoyed by everyone and the children have time to play with some toys. This is an ideal time for the adults to get together and chat and to meet new people.

Friday Place of Welcome is a safe, welcoming, free space for anyone to come to share food and meet together in friendly company.
A simple menu suitable for mid-morning snacks to early light lunch will be served.

We will gratefully accept voluntary donations and hope to cover our costs. Any profit will help the outreach work of St. Mary's Church and other local charities helping to alleviate poverty.

Encounter provides an opportunity to gather together in an environment where faith & fellowship can be shared & it’s a great opportunity to share God’s love in community. People can chat, listen, drink coffee, sing songs, discuss & pray together as a community.

We meet at 7.15pm every 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month, in the parish hall adjacent to St Mary’s church.

Christmas Concert with the award winning Lions Youth Brass Band and Phoenix Voices Knutsford.

Join us for a memorable evening of Christmas entertainment featuring two fantastic organisations.

We will also be turning St. Mary's Nantwich into a stunning candlelit spectacle for the second half as Lions Youth Brass and Phoenix Voices join forces for some beautiful joint pieces.

A scratch nativity play with carols. Children may come dressed as a character or use our costume box. Follow the donkeys to the crib. This service will be followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall. All are then invited to head upstairs for Messy Christmas; craft, activities and games.

If you would like company on a Sunday afternoon, and a chat over a cup of tea/coffee and cake, then you might like to join us at Seniors’ Lounge. This is held in the Parish Hall from 3 – 4 pm on the 2nd Sunday of every month.

In addition to refreshments, there are optional games, your favourite hymns, a short talk and other activities suggested by members.
