About Us

All Saints: St Anne is a pretty small, informal CofE church in a part of Coventry that over recent years has become densely populated by students and young adults. We have two priorities; inclusion and discipleship. Oh, and Jesus of course!

Inclusion

We believe that all people are made in the image of God and that we all desire life-giving connections with others and with God (however deeply buried that desire may be). Consequently we value, welcome and include all people in all areas of church life. We have a proud history of LGBT+ inclusion, of supporting people with mental health problems, and of embracing diversity however it presents itself. Consequently we are a multi-cultural, mixed age, inclusive and varied congregation who offer an authentic welcome to all.

Discipleship

We believe that there is a "best version of ourselves" that Jesus makes it possible for us to be gradually transformed into. Every person is invited on that journey of transformation, and every person on that journey is encouraged to be fruitful, enabling transformation in others.

We love to welcome all generations whatever their household make-up, including whole families. Our number one rule for children is that they have fun while learning about Jesus!

We also love to see people young and old growing in their relationship with God so we have a variety of small groups that people can connect with and we are regularly to be found baptising people, running courses like Alpha, preparing kids to take Communion, getting people ready for Confirmation, and serving our local community. If you would like to know more about what church is about we'd love to be a part of your journey.

The church building was originally built by a local industrialist as a social centre for his workforce and as a cinema and later gifted to the Church of England. The projection room still exists with portal looking out to what is now the worship area. It’s a place of worship and community and you are welcome to join us. We seek to worship God with authenticity, to learn from His Word, and to live Spirit-empowered lives.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries about weddings or baptisms or would like to know more about what we get up to, either at our main service at 10.30am on Sundays, at our sister church All Saints: St Margaret which meets at 9am every Sunday, or at any other time.
