Rare visitor found on our cobbled back path

Our churchwarden on his way to put out the green bin this morning spotted an eyecatching butterfly perched on one of the weeds growing out of the cobbles. On checking on the Butterfly Conservation website it was identified as a Scarlet Tiger Moth that is usually found in wetland and coastal habitats and generally only in the south & west of England. When it opens it's wings a vivid red colour is revealed.
