During the heatwave the clock stopped on the 14th August due to the board that is part of the clockface becoming detached on one side and jamming the hands. Yesterday Church member and engineer Martin Owen arranged for an access platform supplied by local firm Colledge Tree Landscapes of Pailton to give him the necessary "lift" to access the clock. He was able to refix the board and give both it and the clock hands a makeover, so once again the clock is able to show the correct time.
