Hillmorton - St. John the Baptist
Welcome to St John the Baptist, the Church of England's parish church for Hillmorton in Rugby.
We hope to passionately love both God and the community around us. Our desire is that everyone in our parish would know how much they are loved and cherished by God.
Your church building is normally unlocked and open to the community every day of the year. Please use it as a place of quiet, peace and prayer whenever you like.
We are delighted that the government and the Church of England have announced that church buildings can now be open for private prayer. We have thought carefully about the guidelines to enable safe visiting, and believe we are in a position to have St John's open daily, between 9am and 7pm.
We are also delighted that we can return to our building for public worship, within the guidelines to help us keep 'covid-secure'. Please see our protocol and risk assessment for holding public worship services.
The parish of Hillmorton: St John the Baptist is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, (PSO). The Diocese of Coventry’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
