Getting here

St Peter & St Clare serves the parish of Avon Dassett with Fenny Compton, which is part of the Dassett Magna Group of parishes.

The church is located in Fenny Compton, and is open during daylight hours. The earliest parts of the current building date back to c.1320. The church is dedicated to the apostle St Peter and (through its historical links to the Augustinian Canons of Kenilworth) to St Clare of Montefalco.

Like many rural churches, our monthly pattern of services includes a range of worship styles, including modern and traditional language Communions, Family Worship, Morning Prayer, and Messy Church in the Village Hall.

We have good links with The Dassett Church of England Primary School in Fenny Compton, where a Dassett Magna Open the Book team provides fortnightly assemblies at the school, and the whole school comes to church for termly services.

Everyone is welcome to Just A Bite, from 12 to 2 p.m. on the last Monday of each month, in Fenny Compton village hall. For a small charge, a meal of home-made soup, roll and cheese is provided. Tea, coffee and home-made cakes are also available. (Just A Bite takes a break in August and December.)

For more information, please contact the churchwarden, Keith Distin.

The Dassett Magna Group is part of Fosse Deanery in the Coventry Diocese.
