PINK RIBBON WALKOn 21st June I am taking part in a 10 mile Pink Ribbon sponsored walk at Chatsworth on behalf of Breast Cancer Now. If anyone would like to sponsor me please use this link to my Just Giving page or speak to me in person for other ways to donate.https://www.justgiving.com/team/milfs?utm_medium=TE&utm_source=CLTEA TENTThis year’s Fete is rapidly approaching (July 12th ) and as we have done for the past few years ,the Tea Tent is being run to raise funds for both Crich Youth Club and CHIKS .As always we would like offers of cakes . This year we are NOT asking for scones . We have noted that the uptake on scones has been decreasing every year so we have decided not to include this time . If there is a demand then we will review for next year .So if you are able to help can you let me know .deirdreofford @gmail.comTelephone 01773853722 or 07736733503With thanksDeirdreST. MARY’S WELL DRESSINGPreparations for the Well Dressing are well (!) under way.I have put a notice board up in church with details of what we’re doing. You will see that I have asked for help as usual in lots of ways – donations of materials; muscle power in moving heavy frame etc. Please would you be kind enough to put your name down on the timetable if you can help, but of course, once we’re under way, please feel free to turn up and give a hand or take part in creating the picture. The Welcome Room will be in use from the 15th June when we will be preparing it ready for work nearer the end of the month.Don’t forget there will be a display in church on the Saturday afternoon from 2.00 – 4.00 p.m.of the photos from the competition arranged through Clare Limb, together with other items. If you are involved in bringing something to display, please let me know what it is and where you would like to be able to put it out. Please add a description to it, and, if you are happy to do so, would you like to leave it in church for the Sunday service and take it down after that.We will be offering refreshments on the Saturday afternoon from 2.00 – 4.00 p.m. I’m not asking for donations of cakes, but a packet of delicious biscuits would be appreciated, as I’m keeping it simple. But I need volunteers to help with the refreshments. I’m hoping to have other helpers from the well ‘dressers’ too. Please let me know if you could help at all. Many thanks. SylviaMESSY HARVESTAs we know our Good Friday craft morning has been enjoyed for many years by families in the community . This year Rev Jo has asked that we offer a similar event to celebrate Harvest . This will be held on the afternoon of Saturday 4th October and families will be offered a meal of pizza at the end.I appreciate this is still some months ahead but I wanted you to have the date on your calendar. We are hoping that those who ran craft tables on Good Friday ,plus others may feel able to run a harvest themed craft . There will be a get together in due course to plan the crafts . And help will be needed to serve pizzas and drinks .If you are interested in being kept informed and want to be involved do let me know.Serena and I are organising this and would love to hear from you.My contact deirdreofford@gmail .com .Watch this space ,Deirdre
