We were delighted to welcome the Longshaw Sheepdog Trials Association to St Michael & All Angels this morning for their annual service prior to the Longshaw sheepdog trials.We were also pleased to welcome Rev Phil Michell, who is the lead chaplain with Derbyshire Rural Chaplaincy, and who led our service of thanksgiving. His address entitled Fear v Familiarity compared the love and care of the shepherd for his sheep, with the love and care that Jesus has for us. Following the service the Bell Room was a hub of laughter, conversation and general enjoyment as friends caught up with each other and exchanged anecdotes. Details of the Longshaw Sheepdog Trials 2026 can be found at https://www.longshawsheepdog.com
