Prayer and Worship
Thought for the day - Wednesday 20th January
Genesis 8 describes the subsiding of ‘Noah’s flood.’ It is one of those accounts that show us what a muddle we can soon get into if we take these ancient accounts absolutely literally. Many ancient civilisations from the Middle East have their flood accounts, but what I find remarkable is how the ancient Israelites related every major event to God, reflecting on his care, his judgement, his faithfulness.
Please pray for victims of disasters that are no longer news headlines.
If there is something you would included in our daily prayers, or you would like to ask for private prayer for yourself or others, please contact Rev'd Louise Petheram on [email protected] or 01433 621918
