Thought for the day - Wednesday 20th January
Genesis 8 describes the subsiding of ‘Noah’s flood.’ It is one of those accounts that show us what a muddle we can soon get into if we take these ancient accounts absolutely literally. Many ancient civilisations from the Middle East have their flood accounts, but what I find remarkable is how the ancient Israelites related every major event to God, reflecting on his care, his judgement, his faithfulness.
