On 25 May Sue, our administrator, received the most unusual call to the office that she had had in the job so far!
A lady called to report that she had seen a deer in the church yard when she was walking through earlier. A deer!!!! Unaware of any places near by where deer may graze, and knowing we are in a built-up area, she had to check she had heard her correctly!!!
Indeed, there then followed a few more sightings and calls to us and a flurry of activity on Facebook. Police and relevant animal welfare people were contacted by the public, to whom we are grateful - thank you. Thanks also to Becky Watson who captured a picture of our visitor, and posted it on Facebook.
