"There is no sanitising the tortures and execution Jesus underwent on Good Friday, just as there is no way of glossing over or ignoring the brutality, cruelty and suffering people face all over the world. What we can know, however, is that it is when we cry out to the God we fear has forgotten us, that Jesus Christ is most truly, most assuredly, most certainly with us." Everyone is welcome to this service where we hear the Passion Gospel according to St John, sing hymns and have the Proclamation of the Cross.

Newbold Parish Church, St John's is a place of worship, fellowship, prayer, fun, laughter, and above all a place for people to encounter God – Father, Son & Holy Spirit!

Our worship style varies depending on which service you attend. From a traditional C of E holy communion service, to inter-active family fun.

We also have strong links with our local primary schools, including Newbold Church Primary School.
