Lent Study Group

Occuring
Every Saturday at for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
All Saints Parish Church Glossop
Address
Church Street South Glossop, SK13 7RU, United Kingdom

Following the popularity of the Advent Study Group run by our Curate, the Revd Chris Nowak, Chris and David, our Priest-in-Charge, will be running a Lent Study Group on Saturday mornings. Starting at 9.30am on Saturday, 17th February with a light breakfast, we will use a ‘Lectio Divina’ approach to reflect on stories from the Gospel of Mark, the Lectionary Gospel for Year B:
• What does this story show me about what people are like?
• What does this story show me about God or Jesus?
• What does this story say to me? What might God be saying to me through this story?
• With whom might I share this story?

There are no ‘right’ answers in this approach to reflecting on Bible stories. We simply ask God to help us hear whatever God wants to say to each of us.

All Saints Parish Church Glossop

We seek to be inclusive, and welcoming of the variety and diversity of human experience. Our style of worship draws on a Catholic (high church) tradition centred on the Eucharist and following the Church's seasons.

Our pattern of services is Parish Eucharists on Sundays at 10.30am and Said Eucharists on Wednesdays at 12 noon. Please visit the Services and Events pages to find details of other services including those which can be downloaded. Our weekly newsletter can be downloaded from the News and notices page. To receive our weekly newsletter and a weekly service to say at home, please register here.

We are committed to be an Eco Church, working to demonstrate that the gospel is 'good news' for God's earth. You can find out more about our commitment here.

All Saints Parish Church Glossop is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Details of our commitment to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults are available here.
