BY BUS
There are frequent bus services to New Mills that pass the church with a number of bus stops very close to the church.
Bus Route: 389 – New Mills Town Service(Mon-Sat) – Nearest Stop: Church Lane.
Bus Route: 61 – Buxton to Glossop (Mon-Sun) – Nearest Stop: Marsh Lane or New Street.
Bus Route: 358 – Hayfield to Stockport (All week) – Nearest Stop: Marsh Lane or New Street.
BY TRAIN
There are two train stations in New Mills – New Mills Central and New Mills Newtown.
New Mills Central – Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield Line.
Directions from New Mills Central – Proceed up the hill (Station Rd), turn right and proceed down the hill (Union Rd), at the bottom turn left at The Queen’s Arms Pub on to Church Road. Proceed up the hill passing the Cooperative Supermarket and New Mills Cricket Club, St. George’s Church is located at the top of the hill on the left.
New Mills Newtown – Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton Line.
Directions from New Mills Newtown – Proceed down the hill (Albion Rd) passing The Queen’s Arms pub on your left. Continue forward up the hill (Church Rd) passing the Cooperative Supermarket and then New Mills Cricket Club, St. George’s is located at the top of the hill on the left.
