Almighty God,
We remember before you all who have served in the British Armed Forces,
those who gave their lives for our freedom,
and those who still bear the scars of war.
Grant them rest, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon them.
Strengthen those who serve today;
comfort those who grieve;
and guide us all in the ways of justice and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
