Welcome to Christ Church, New Seaham!

As a church we serve the needs of the New Seaham community. Our vision pathway is to Belong - Believe - Become - Bless

We're an inclusive and friendly Church where everyone will find a warm welcome... we're all about building family and serving community. 

OUR SERVICES:

10am Sundays - Communion Service in Church, start with a cuppa, enjoy uplifting worship, encouragement, teaching and communion.  The last Sunday in each month join us for our more relaxed 'Growing Together' Service.

6.30pm Sundays - 'Cafe Church'  in our Church Hall, a safe place to explore faith always with a cuppa with cake! First Sunday of the month relax with  Christian Meditation -  last Sunday of the month enjoy our reflective Communion service,

11.30am Tuesdays - a short Communion service in the Prayer Room of our Church Hall held during The Well Community Hub - stay afterwards for a light lunch and cuppa (pay-as-you-feel). 

CHILDREN:

2nd Sunday morning every month - Kids@ChristChurch - in the Church Hall during the 10am service as our team grows we plan to offer this weekly.

Seasonal events at Christmas, Easter, Summer and autumn.

PRAYER:

9.30am Wednesdays - Morning Prayer in Church

Team prayer takes place with the team at 9.30am every Tuesday and Thursday.

COMMUNITY:

10am-2pm, Tuesdays - Community hub, 'The Well', offering pay-as-you-feel refreshments, various table-top activities, free groceries at our People's Pantry and monthly visits from a range of community partner organisations.

From 12th Feb 2026 - Community hub,'The Well with Church Mice pay cafe'.  Offering the same provision as Tuesdays with the addition of a dedicated safe play area for 0-3 year olds and their carers.

DISCIPLESHIP:

Tuesdays weekly, 6pm, Church Hall - discipleship group (Believe & Become) in the Church Hall.

Saturdays monthly, 10am, Church Hall - Men's Saturday Breakfast, commencing 28th Feb 2026.

BAPTISMS:

For Baptism/Christening enquiries please attend a Sunday service and speak to Rev'd Anita afterwards over refreshments.
