About Us

Saint Saviour's is the Parish Church for Shotton Colliery. It has been part of the community since it was consecrated in 1854.  There is said Communion with a short reflection at 8 am on a Sunday, and  Communion with hymns and a sermon at 9:15 am, except on the first Sunday of each month.  There is also a midweek Communion service at 9:15 am on a Wednesday.

On the first Sunday each month, we hold an informal service, Breakfast Praise, in the church hall 10.30 -11.30 am. It start with refreshments and includes lively songs and activities for children and adults together.

We have an active Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade, which meets on a Monday evening ( 6-7 pm) in the church hall, the Jack Turnbull Hall, next door to the church. Young people aged  5 -18 are welcome to join.  

The church holds services in Croft House residential care home in Shotton, and in partnership with Shotton Community Centre to provides activities for children and families throughout the year, especially in school holidays.  Call 07971577715 for more info.
