Getting here

St. Andrew's Church, Tudhoe Grange is located close to Spennymoor town centre, part of which is in the parish. Services are in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, although the congregation come from a variety of traditions and all are made to feel at home. The Eucharist is at the of our worshipping life both on Sundays and in the week and extra celebrations of the Eucharist are offered on feast days of the church's year. Morning or Evening Prayer is also offered in church daily (except Mondays) at which all are welcome to join the parish priest. The church, in the Durham Diocese is under the pastoral and sacramental care of the Bishop of Beverley (the Provincial Episcopal Visitor for the Northern Province), and is affiliated to 'Forward in Faith'.

We have an active Sunday School which meets during the main Sunday Sung Eucharist; a large branch of the Mothers' Union which meets twice a month, and interdenominational Women's Group which meets every other Wednesday. There are regular social and fundraising events in the large church hall, adjacent to the church.

The hall is also offered for one-off and occasional hire at the very competitive rate of £12 per hour: please telephone 01388 818295 or 818169 for more information about hiring the hall.

Full details of Sunday and weekday services and special events can be found in the weekly news sheet, monthly magazine, or on the church noticeboard by the St. Andrew's Lane roundabout.

Baptisms, Marriages or banns of marriage can be arranged by coming to church (to the vestry door on Barnfield Road)  on Tuesdays between 5.45pm and 6.15pm.
