St. Cuthbert's

Knowing Jesus and making him known at the heart of Darlington

St. Cuthbert’s Church has for centuries graced the market place of the attractive and historic north-eastern town of Darlington. However, the dignified architecture of the ‘Lady of the North’ does more than simply adorn the centre of our town. To each generation its presence has witnessed to the Good News of Jesus Christ: it is an oasis of prayer, a sanctuary of stillness in the busy life of the town, and its weekly services invite people to share in the worship of God.

The parish of Darlington: St Cuthbert is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
