A message from TBBT“Times are tough right now. And for a lot of people, they’re getting tougher. At The Bread and Butter Thing, we see it every day. People doing everything right, working, caring, juggling, but still feeling the pressure building. That’s why we’re here. Bread and Butter can help you stay steady. You don’t have to wait until things get really hard. You don’t have to be in crisis. Anyone can join. No referrals. No judgement. Just good food at low cost, in your local community. For around £8.50, you’ll get three bags of food each week including fresh fruit and veg, helping you stretch your budget and keep food on the table. If things are feeling tight, come and give us a try. We’re here before it gets too much. Your nearest hub is at St. Catherine's Church where we've been operating on a Friday morning for five years now. Call in if you want help to sign up. Dementia CafeMeets on the second Saturday of every month at 10.00am til 12 noon. A morning for those living with dementia and their carers. All are welcome. Join us for friendship, entertainment and refreshments. All are welcome.The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT)Runs every Friday morning. A discounted food scheme aimed at both helping to stretch your budget and prevent food going into landfill. Collection time is 11.00 to 11.30. Registration is with TBBT (see their website). St. Catherine's hosts the project and provides volunteers to make up the food bags each week.Men's Breakfast ClubIs held at 9.30 on the 3rd Monday in the month in the Side Aisle. Breakfast is a bacon or sausage bun and a hot drink. You are welcome to come and join the small friendly group particularly if you live on your own.
