Washing each other's feet - a service marking a moment of transition for Billingham Team Parish

Occurring
for 3 hours
Venue
St Aidan's Billingham
Address
Tintern Avenue Billingham, TS23 2DF, United Kingdom

The Wardens, PCC, staff team and congregation members of Billingham Team Parish warmly invite you to a service at 6.00pm on Monday 29th September at St Aidan's Church, Tintern Avenue, Billingham TS23 2DF.

The service marks an important moment for the parish. The Revd David Brooke was appointed as interim Change Rector in January 2023 to lead the parish through a process of recovery, renewal and change. The end of September 2026 marks his retirement, although we won't have seen the last of him.

But it is also the beginning of a new phase for the parish. We will be gathering to celebrate the progress that has been made, recommitting ourselves to service, and launching the search for a permanent Team Rector to join the Revd Mahalha Wachepa (Team Vicar) and Revd Paul Johnson (Associate Priest).

So, please join us for the service at 6.00pm, and please stay for refreshments and entertainment in the church hall afterwards. Replies can be sent by email to [email protected]. Please put 'retirement service' somewhere in the email subject.

St Aidan's Billingham

St Aidan's Billingham sits at the heart of the town, just north of the Town Centre and John Whitehead Park. Many of our key activities as Billingham Team Parish are centred on St Aidan's, reaching out to the whole town. The Parish Office is located at St Aidan's, and is open two mornings a week, but the church centre is buzzing most days with community and church activities taking place in the hall, lounge, or Lady Chapel.

On Sundays, St Aidan's hosts our main parish act of worship every week, at 11am.
