In the middle of the organised chaos of preparations for Christmas, our Carols with Christingle is very much a moment to take time out for the whole parish family. Come along and enjoy the magic, and remember what it means to be a light in the world for Jesus, to the glory of God the Father!

Play and Praise is a simple service for pre schoolers (0-3) to nurture their innate spirituality! During term-time there is a service every Monday at St Aidan's from 9.30am to 11.00 am. Action songs, story, followed by tea, coffee and play. Play and Praise also meets at St Peter's on Fridays at the same time.

Each Thursday evening a group of us gather to pray for personal, parish and global concerns, and we share bread and wine together using a simple communion service drawn from Iona material. Do join us - some come every week, but really it's a case of come as you feel led.

A traditional crib service with a twist, in the informal setting of St Luke's church. Gather round the manger, bring together the parts of the story, and unpack the meaning again this Christmas.

For those wanting something a bit different, or a bit earlier in the evening, Stop and Reflect offers something a bit different, with a cycle of contemporary reflections alongside the traditional Bible readings, a real variety of music, and a very simple shared communion to end. It is what it says - an opportunity to Stop and Reflect.

A traditional and heart-stopping celebration of communion across midnight. Come, pause, pray, sing, be blessed.

When the waiting is over, it is time to ring out the bells and celebrate unashamedly. That's what we'll do as we celebrate Christmas Day as a church family. Simple, celebratory, but profound.

Whether you're a regular or not at Revd Mahalha’s "Afro-beat Dance and Worship for Wellbeing" events, you must surely have heard of them! This is all of that, and more.

To round out the year, Mahalha and friends invite you and your family to a New-Year ‘Crossover’ party at St Aidan’s, African style.

Bring and share food and drink, sing, dance, worship, and celebrate together from 9.00pm till late. There will be a short, very simple communion including an act of commitment centred around the Methodist Covenant Prayer just after midnight.
Dress to the nines, and join the celebrations.
