We will be celebrating Harvest this year during our regular Sunday morning Eucharist, with all donations of NON-PERISHABLE items for the Gateshead Food Bank. Donations can include: Balanced and nutritious non-perishable food, as well as toiletries (sanitary products, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, nappies) and pet food. St John the Evangelist (St John's, Birtley)

St John's is the Anglican Parish Church of Birtley, previously in the Deanery of Chester-le-Street & Houghton, and recently changed to the Deanery of Gateshead, in the Diocese of Durham. We have recently appointed a new Priest in Charge, Rev'd Steve Edge, who we share with St Andrew's Church in our neighbouring parish of Lamesley.
