About Us

Our parish is Christ Church, Felling. Opened in1866 to serve the local community.

We are part of the Gateshead Deanery, the Archdeaconry of Sunderland and the Diocese of Durham. The northern boundary of the parish is the River Tyne and we have the Felling Bypass (A184) running through the parish as well as the Metro line with our own Felling Station.

The church is on Carlisle Street and there are regular bus services, with bus stops conveniently located nearby on Sunderland Road. Our Priest in Charge is Rev'd Tom Worsley, Mavis Worsley and William Pine are our lay readers.
