About Us

We are a church gathered from across Gateshead, Newcastle, and the North East. Our vision is to see individuals, the Church, and our communities come alive in Jesus’ name.

As part of the wider HTB Network, we’re playing our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the Church, and the transformation of society.

St George’s has been a place of worship for over 100 years. In 2016, a group of people moved to Gateshead to replant the church — and Alive Church was born. Since then, many more have joined us on the journey.

At Alive Church, we celebrate our diversity and are passionate about every person finding a place to belong and a part to play in the life of our church.
