Church of England Diocese of Durham Ryton

Holy Cross

Holy Cross is the Church of England parish church in Ryton. We are a friendly, welcoming community who are learning together what it means to love God and love our neighbours. We would be delighted to meet you!

The parish of Ryton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

A said service of Holy Communion with sermon in church

Due to the issues caused by the coronavirus, at present we are only offering ONE service on Sunday mornings, at 8.45am

Please note that at the moment our congregation size is limited by the need for physical distancing. We will do our best to find space for you but if we are already full sadly we will have to turn you away.

We are not currently able to offer any children's provision (Sunday School) but we are looking into how we can do so safely.
